About Kybella

What to expect: Expect full results with Kybella in 3-6 treatments over 4-6 weeks. Each treatment takes just 30 minutes. The full treatment provides a permanent solution to chin and jawline fullness. Post-Care Instructions
Immediately After Visit
Avoid touching the treated area and avoid wearing makeup for 6 hours post-treatment.
Within 1 Day
Please avoid strenuous exercise, alcoholic beverages and extensive sun or heat exposure for 24 hours after your treatment.
Within 2 Weeks
Expect some swelling, numbness and bruising in the submental area for 10-14 days post-treatment. If you have a propensity for bruising, we strongly recommend Arnica Montana. It should be taken immediately after the treatment and continued as directed.
Please avoid facials, waxing, peels and laser treatments for 14 days after your Kybella treatment.

A good candidate for Kybella is someone with fullness under the chin. A consultation is recommended with one of our providers to evaluate whether you are a good candidate.
When will I see results?
You will start to see results within 4-6 weeks after treatment. It can take 2-4 sessions to obtain your aesthetic goal.
Should I plan for downtime after my treatment?
It is common to notice redness, swelling, bruising and soreness immediately after the treatment. However, this shouldn’t prevent you from returning to your daily routine after injections. Patients will likely experience bruising and swelling in the submental area for up to 1 week. We recommend scheduling injections around your event schedule if you are concerned about social downtime.
What can I expect during the treatment?
During the treatment, your provider will clean your skin, then follow with the injections. The injections are quick, and the number of injections will vary based on the person. Numbing cream can be used to help make the treatment process as comfortable as possible.
What are the most common side effects?
The most common side effects include swelling, bruising, discomfort, numbness and redness. These usually improve within 7-10 days after treatment.
Is this treatment safe while pregnant or breastfeeding?
You cannot receive Kybella injections while pregnant or breastfeeding.
