Dermal Fillers
What it does: Dermal fillers smooth lines, fill shallow areas and enhance contours naturally. Dermal fillers are completely reversible, and the hyaluronic acid works with your body’s natural volume. Plus, our providers customize your treatment to your areas of concern.
Who it’s for: Dermal fillers provide a natural solution to restoring lost volume. This treatment is perfect for those with fine lines and wrinkles from sun damage or repetitive muscle movement due to aging.
What to expect: Your provider will use their industry knowledge and experience to choose the filler that’s right for you (Juvéderm® or Restylane). Dermal fillers last 1-2 years. Please schedule a consultation to determine which treatment is right for your areas of concern.
DERMAL FILLER SERVICE TIMEFRAME
1 Hour
Please allow 1 hour for dermal filler consultation and treatment. Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Dermal fillers can be used with or without Botox/Dysport treatment.

Post-Care Instructions
Immediately After Visit
Avoid touching the treated area and avoid wearing makeup for 6 hours post-treatment.
Within 1 Day
Please avoid strenuous exercise, alcoholic beverages and extensive sun or heat exposure for 24 hours after your treatment.
Within 2-3 Days
Expect some redness, swelling and tenderness in the treated area for 2-3 days post-treatment. If you have a propensity for bruising, we strongly recommend Arnica Montana. It should be taken immediately after the treatment and continued as directed.
Within 2 Weeks
Please avoid facials, waxing, peels and laser treatments for 14 days after your dermal filler treatment.
Within 4 Weeks
Occasionally, lumps and bumps may occur temporarily following the injection; however, these tend to smooth out over time. Allow 4 weeks for these bumps to smooth out. Please inform MK Aesthetics if they last longer than 4 weeks.
FAQ for Dermal Fillers
Will I bruise?
Because we are injecting filler with needle, bruising can be quite common. We ask that you please discontinue any supplements such as omega-3, fish oil, ASA and blood thinners (please check with your doctor before discontinuing any medications or supplements). Preventatively taking Arnica may help minimize the risk of bruising.
Will I look unnatural?

What can I expect post-treatment?
You will see immediate results following your injections. Post-injection, you may experience bruising, swelling and soreness depending on the filler placement. Use ice to help reduce swelling

Is this treatment safe while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Dermal fillers are not safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there are no studies available to determine safety.
